Invitation to Bid - Drinking Water Supply Well Rehab, Contract 2018-WR
 The Bellingham Department of Public Works invites firms to bid on  Drinking Water Supply Well Rehab, Contract 2018-WR.

Sealed bids must be received by February 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Office of the Department of Public Works, 26 Blackstone Street, Bellingham, MA 02019.

SCOPE OF WORK – Public Water Supply Well Rehabilitation including:
  • Mechanical surging & redevelopment,
  • Chemical treatment
  • Pump removal & inspection,
  • Appurtenant work.
Bid documents will be available free of charge at the DPW Office 26 Blackstone Street, after Noon on January 17, 2018, between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday for viewing and pick up.  Bid documents will be available electronically by emailing a request to  All electronic requests must include bidders name, address, primary contact, and telephone number.  Bid documents can be mailed (next day mail) to prospective bidders for a fee of $25.00 prepaid, non-refundable.

Bidders must be able to provide evidence of their experience in performing well cleaning and surging work and be able to supply insurance certificates indicating coverage as noted in the bid documents.

A 5% bid bond is required for submittal of bids.  Contractors selected to perform work will be required to submit 50% payment bonds for all work ordered.

All labor performing work on this contract must be paid in accordance with the, Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved wage scales.  Certified payrolls must be provided to the town for all work performed.
