The Mass DOT has awarded the contract to J H Lynch Corp. No construction schedule or preconstruction meeting has been set.
Verizon will be installing the new utility poles (about 90 need to be relocated). The Verizon pole relocation crew will probably start work in early March.
Lynch's crew will start doing some preliminary work on site such as installation of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act sign.
Mass DOT inspector and survey crews have been on site establishing base lines and construction control points.
