DPW Prject Update 10/27/2011
Pulaski Boulevard
The project looks done but issues are still being addressed.  Final close out will likely be mid 2012.

Hartford Ave Culvert Replacement near Medway
The road was reopened to two way traffic on October 19th (first time since April).  Guardrail should go in soon and MassDOT will remove their barricades and barrels to warp up the project.

Blackstone Street Resurfacing (Candace Road to High School Entrance)
The section of very rough pavement was milled today.  New top course pavement should go down before the end of next week.  If weather allows, crosswalks and roadway striping will be painted before winter sets in.

Blackstone Street (South Main St to Steven Road)
The road work and sidewalks are now done.  Traffic markings will go in with the other Blackstone Street markings if weather allows.

Mann Street Water Mains
Water main replacement from South Main towards Blackstone will be bid on November 9th.  The plan is to get the contractor to work quickly and hopefully, with some decent late fall weather, we will get all the pipes in before Christmas.  The street will be closed to all but local traffic, buses, and emergency vehicles during construction.  Temporary trench pavement will be installed close behind the pipe installation.   Next year Mann Street will be completely reconstructed, the water main project is an important precursor.

Lake Street Roadwork
The contract has been awarded and Lorusso Corp is working to get pipes in the ground near Cross Street.  Not much else will go on this year, but next spring the sections of Lake Street near Wrentham Road, just south of Railroad Street, and at Cross Street will get reconstructed.

Cross St at Dupre Road
Under the same contact with the Lake St work, Lorusso will be constructing a stormwater basin.  The pipes needed to resolve the Cross Street freeze up will unfortunately not go in until next year.

Other streets that should major roadway improvement next year include: Pearl Street, Maple Street (Hartford Ave to Ray Ave), and Beech Street.
