Public Hearing Legal Notice

The Town of Bellingham Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on February 22, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Wilfred Arcand Jr. Meeting Room of the Bellingham Municipal Center to discuss the revision of the water and sewer billing rates. Revised rates will take effect July 1, 2010.
Rate revisions are designed to provide reliable rate revenue to cover annual operating budgets for the water and sewer operations. Increases that are proposed are driven not by increases in cost, but decreases in flow based revenue due to dramatic drop in consumption experienced in 2009. Discussion will include consideration of generating sufficient annual revenue to initiate work on the Water Capital Improvement.
