2015 Police Officer Exam Announced

The Human Resources Division (HRD) has announced the 2015 Police Officer (Municipal and MBTA Transit Police) examination.

This examination is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2015 with a last filing date of March 13, 2015.  A late fee will be applied to applications filed after March 13, 2015, so we ask that candidates be encouraged to apply early.  Applications will not be accepted after March 26, 2015.
This exam is offered for all Police Departments covered under Civil Service and may also be utilized by some non-civil service departments.  Interested candidates should spend some time reviewing the additional information, including a Study Guide on our website.
Candidates can also follow us on twitter for any exam  updates at @MACivilService.
Your support and knowledge of your community is instrumental in assisting with efforts to providing a highly skilled and diverse pool of candidates.  As part of your recruitment efforts or any informational sessions held locally, we would be more than willing to participate.  To assist in these efforts I will forward along a copy of our Recruitment Poster/Handout for your use next week.  Do not hesitate to contact Ken Gavin, Recruitment Manager, at (617) 878-9750 or kgavin@state.ma.us directly for with any questions.
Recruitment and informational sessions held prior to the last filing date will only lead to greater success and reaching out to those best qualified in your local area.  Keeping this in mind, regional sessions may also assist for better outreach and pooled resources.  HRD representatives will be happy to assist and attend all sessions.
