Cheyenne and her handler Officer Gosselin

The Bellingham Police Department is saddend to announce the passing of our police tracking bloodhound Cheyenne. Cheyenne was a red bloodhound, she was born 03/15/1999. She passed away on 04/11/2010 due to a stomach condition known as bloat. She was donated to officer Gosselin on 06/08/2003 by Pam Andrews, a breeder from Lake Butler, Florida. Cheyenne worked for short time in Florida before coming to us in Bellingham. During her time with this department Cheyenne was involved in numerous High Profile tracks for us and other area Departments. She was able to locate 9 of 14 people including 3 bodies while working with us. Cheyenne retired from regular duty in 2007. She lived out her retirement with officer Gosselin at his home. She was a great asset to this and many other area communities and she will be missed.
