Board Member
The Bellingham COA is seeking to hire a qualified Van Driver, part-time up to 19hr/ wk, no benefits. Transport senior citizens and/or disabled younger residents to appointments and do other related work as required. This position reports to the COA Director. Drivers must work cooperatively with the Transportation Coordinator, other staff and volunteers; have a valid Mass. driver’s license and good driving record, and a CORI check with a good outcome. Participation in ongoing training including CPR and first aid is required. Knowledge of routes and roads in the area is a plus. Experience preferred. Compensation: Tax work off Program or Pay - $10.50/hr. to start Call 508-966-0398. The successful candidate will be flexible, patient, reliable, have strong social and interpersonal skills, and sensitivity to elders’ needs. The Zoning Board meets the first and third Thursday of each month at the Municipal Center. Their meetings are broadcast live on Access Bellingham Channel 11. This five member board is responsible for considering Zoning Variances and Special Permit requests.
