The History Room accommodates up to 6 people, with 4 seats at the table and 2 other chairs available in the room.
Patrons doing local history research have a priority in use of this room. When not in use by local history researchers, the room is available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to one hour (longer if no one is waiting to use the room.)
Since many of the items in our local history collection are irreplaceable, the collection is stored in this room in locked glass book cases.
If you wish to use any of the materials in the book cases, please ask for access at the Information Desk or Front Desk and a staff person will unlock the cabinet and retrieve the item you are interested in viewing.
The room is open to all visitors Monday through Friday from 10 am to 1 pm
From 1 pm to closing each weekday, and on Saturdays, the room is available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to one hour (longer if no one is waiting to use the room.)
First-come first-served users should go to the Front Desk to sign into the room and a staff member will unlock the door.
The person signing out the room must be over the age of 18 and must remain in the room for the duration of the meeting.
It is the responsibility of the person signing out the room to make sure it is in good condition before leaving.
The library Food and Drink Policyprohibits food and drinks in this room. The Food and Drink Policy is posted in the room.
The room must be left in good condition when vacated.
