NOTIFICATION OF AQUATIC TREATMENT

SILVER LAKE WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, JULY 25TH DURING THE AQUATIC TREATMENT

Silver Lake will be chemically treated to control nuisance aquatic vegetation on Friday, July 25.  There will be no restrictions to swimming, fishing and boating. Use restrictions from day of treatment on are as follows: Livestock watering - 1 Day, Direct Drinking - 3 Days, and Irrigation - 5 Days. Printed signs warning of these temporary water use restrictions will be posted around the affected shorelines immediately prior to treatment. The treatment is being performed by The Pond and Lake Connection under contract to the Town of Bellingham and pursuant to a permit (license) issued by MA DEP and an Order of Conditions issued by the Bellingham Conservation Commission.
