Abbreviated Notice of Intent (ANOI)

So you want to file an ANOI?

In order to file an ANOI, the following must apply to your project:

1. It lies entirely in the buffer zone, Land Subject to Flooding, or the Riverfront Area.
2. Less than 1,000 sqft of these resource areas would be disturbed. However, in the Riverfront Area the ANOI can only be used for small, grandfathered residential lots (310 CMR 10.58(4)(c)(2)(a)).
3. Neither an Army Corps of Engineers permit nor a DEP Waterways license under G.L. Chapter 91 is needed.
