Children

The Bellingham Library Children's Department is full of books, DVDs, audiobooks, toys, technology, and fun! Peruse our collections of picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle grade fiction, graphic novels, and nonfiction. Play some educational games on our iPad kiosk or use your imagination playing with our train table, grocery store, and plastic animals. Build with our magna-tiles and wooden blocks. Work on puzzles, explore our activity wall panel, and play with over twenty different kinds of toys for infants through preschoolers. Don't forget to complete a scavenger hunt in the room to win a prize! 

In additional to traditional items, you can now borrow toys and kid-friendly themed tablets. We also have a lot more non-traditional items to borrow, some of which are appropriate for children.

We also have a number of children's programs per month for kids of all ages! Some of our most popular weekly story times are Ring a Ding, Sensory Story Time, and Alphabits. We also often do several family programs per month so keep an eye on our calendar and sign up for our monthly newsletter!
