Internet
The library has Internet-accessible computers for use by library visitors, managed by a Linux-based client server program called Userful Desktop.
See a staff person for assistance to log on to a computer. Patrons are limited to 2 one-hour sessions per day.
All users of library computers must agree to the Bellingham Public Library Internet Access Policy when using an Internet computer.
The Userful Desktop includes a multitude of applications in many languages. Surf the web, catch up on work, or just play games.
The system offers the Google Chrome or Firefox Internet browser, and LibreOffice for word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation work. The system also includes a calculator.
The computers automatically delete all files created by the user on logout. Users can save files to the desktop to use during the session, but they will be deleted on logout. Users who wish to keep files should email the file to themselves. Please note the system does not permit saving the files to external media (flash drive, etc).
All library Internet and word processing computers are connected to a copier/printer that prints in both black and white and in color and there is no charge for printing, however donations are appreciated. There is a donation box near the printer.
The library also offers free WiFi (Wireless Internet Access) on our PublicLibraryHotspot network. When you connect to the WiFi you will be instructed to accept our Internet Access Policy to connect.
The library is pleased to offer free printing for patrons!

You have the option to have items printed in black & white or in color. If printing from a Userful computer, you'll have to select the printer
